MARBRIDGE PROJECT

THE MARBRIDGE MINE

  • 172 granted exploration licences 45.3km2.
  • Within the highly productive granite-greenstone dominated Abitibi Sub Province.
  • Previous production between 1962 and 1968 with total production of 702,[email protected] 2.28% Ni.
  • Semi-massive nickel sulphide mineralisation discovered both within and adjacent to the project tenement areas.
  • Great bulk of the property remains untested by drilling.
  • Previous drilling i=on known deposits (outside of Marbridge Mine #1) only to a depth of 150m.
  • System remains open at depth below existing deposits.
  • Significant EM survey to be commissioned in March 2019.

MARBRIDGE DRILLING TARGETS

The Marbridge area is a loci for ultramafic volcanism on the basis of a significant amount of ultramafic rocks present in the area. Both komatiites and massive ultramafic (peridotite) have been noted however there has been no formal attempt to distinguish these on the basis of intrusive (feeder dikes/sills) and extrusive flows (komatiite). Map patterns are suggestive of both. Along the northern portion of the Project, a belt of komatiite flows have been mapped on the basis of spinifex textures. However, the relationship to the Marbridge ultramafic cluster is unclear. In addition, a SIF is identified within the Marbridge Mine area and this has been ignored by early exploration.

Ideally, Marbridge is the ideal site for a blanket and detailed TDEM survey. Given the expense of such a survey, a small test survey has been designed over Mine 2 which had significantly higher Ni grades with an average of 3%. The test survey will look at the depth extension of Mine 2 below 230 meters vertical depth and at shallow depths where magmatic sulphides are known to be present. It is also recommended that the detailed magnetometer survey completed by Sphinx at 100m line spacing be expanded to the south and west.
